The Duck Fin Shad is an exclusive new soft lure from Daiwa that is designed for vertical or finesse fishing when modest-sized baits are required.
The 9cm, 5gr lure has an ‘amazingly realistic’ action, says Daiwa, with its attraction enhanced by the materials used in its manufacture and by a broad series of life-like colours.
Technical features include a dorsal slit that allows the symmetrical positioning of a wide choice of hooks and optimises the use of Texas-style rigging.
The shape of the tail (or caudal) fin resembles the webbed foot of a duck and ensures a vigorous wriggling action even at slow retrieve, while also producing a rolling movement of the body.
The all-important fish-like details, including the mouth, eyes and scales, are carefully reproduced during the injection process. The 3D eyes feature three contrasting colours which, says Daiwa, become a focus of attack by predators.
The Duck Fin Shad is available in packs of seven. Each bait is compatible with the Daiwa Darting 7gr and 10gr heads and with hooks SAQ-SAS, as well as the Daiwa Jig Head. All these products can be found in the company’s catalogue.
