‘Crucial’ appointments in Preston Innovations growth

UK-based Preston Innovations has made what it described as two ‘crucial’ appointments to the development of the brand in France and the Wallonia region of Belgium.

Ex-World Champion Didier Delannoy – formerly Managing Director of Rive Fishing – has joined as Director of Sales & Marketing (France) and will be working alongside one of the most promising young anglers in France, Baptiste Courtellemont.

The pair will be driving Preston’s four-brand strategy into the next phase of European growth. Delannoy said: “I am very excited to be joining Preston Innovations. I have a lot of experience in the European market and know what works and what product anglers demand.

“Preston Innovations has a massive amount of potential – it is one of the fastest growing brands in Europe and I am very confident that myself and Baptiste can enhance the company’s growth in the region.”

Courtellement will be coordinating Preston’s media, marketing and sales for France. He said: “Ever since I started fishing I have used some of the Preston products. Its range and quality is very impressive. Myself and Didier have a lot of new ideas that will certainly shake up the market and I am sure that we will develop the brand’s growth in Europe.”

“Having Didier and Baptiste signed up for the French market and for part of Belgium is very exciting,” said Pascal Vermeulen, Preston Innovations European Director. “Spending many years in the trade and on the bank with anglers, these guys know their market inside out and the market knows them.

“Increasing our presence in France is vital to expanding our business and gaining market share in Europe. I am very confident that with the knowledge Didier and Baptiste bring to the table we will achieve our goals and develop our future supremacy in France and Belgium.”

Preston Innovations Brand Manager Scott Geens added: “Didier and Baptiste will be crucial to developing our brand strength in France and across mainland Europe. I am convinced that their combined experience and in-depth understanding of specific market requirements will lead to accelerated growth in the future.
