Cortland has completely redesigned its range of 333 fly lines.

Now called the 333® Classic, the lines made their first public appearance at the ICAST show in Las Vegas and descend from the first fly line ever made with a Polyvinyl coating back in 1953.

The original 333 was the first modern ‘unsinkable’ fly line and has been updated continuously, making it a popular choice among fly anglers for over 50 years.

The new series includes a yellow 333 Classic Trout/All Purpose fly line in sizes WF 3-8 F and DT 3-6 F, a yellow 333 Classic Bass/Big Fly (WF 7-8 F), a Clear Intermediate (WF 4-10 I), a yellow and brown 333 Classic – 10’ Sink Tip (WF 5-8 F/S) and a brown 333 Classic – Sinking Tip/Type 3.

All tapered 333 Classic lines are 90ft long with a recommended retail price of $36 (US).

The new series also includes three level lines: a yellow 333 Classic – Floating Shooting/Running Line in 031” diameter and 90ft length at $20, a blue 333 Classic – Intermediate Shooting/Running Line in the same dimensions and price alongside a brown Full Sinking – Type 6 Trolling Line in a size L 8 S in a length of 150ft, costing $36 (US).
