The cancellation of its show due to take place this week because of the Coronavirus pandemic has not deterred the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) from putting on an event for its customers.
It has replaced the Progressive Insurance Northwest Sportshow, which is sponsored by the likes of Rapala, Berkley, Northland Tackle and Lindy, with the launch of a Virtual Sportshow which will go live on April 2.
The NMMA has partnered with TRMG, the publisher of its boat and sport show guides, to take the 2020 Northwest event online. This aims to provide exhibitors with an alternative way to participate in the show and reach the event’s dedicated audience of local boaters, anglers and outdoor enthusiasts digitally.
The Virtual Sportshow will be sent to the show’s email database, posted on the website and shared on local media. It will offer:
• Video Vault – educational boating, fishing and outdoor films;
• Shopping Guide – All Northwest Sportshow exhibitors will be listed here for free. It will be organised by product/service categories to make it easy for consumers to navigate;
• Show Specials – featuring exhibitor deals or show specials;
• Virtual Booth – An opportunity for enhanced content, such as videos, new products, articles and direct sales. There will be a cost attached to inclusion in this section.
