China Fish winners target North American bass market

Double award winner at China Fish, Weihai Haibin Fishing Tackle, is looking to build on its success by tackling the North American market.

The company picked up the Best Rod and Best Lure/Fly Reel at the China Fish Product Awards Banquet, in Beijing – following up its success a year earlier when it won the Best Lure/Fly Rod Award.

Haibin started as a joint venture in Japan before becoming independent 10 years ago. However, it says that the country’s advanced production technology and management is deep-rooted in the company’s culture. Starting as a rod producer for the Japanese market 21 year ago, it moved into baircasting reel production a decade ago.

Trade Manager, Alissa, told Angling International:” We were delighted to win two awards this year. It is a major achievement and made us the biggest winner at the show.

“The bass market in the US is the biggest in the world and the Americans who have looked at our products have liked what they have seen.”

The award-winning rod features an innovative butt end for extra comfort and better balance as well as the very latest Fuji Torzite guides.
