Cheeky Fishing joins forces with Trout Unlimited

Cheeky Fishing CEO, Ted Upton: “The partnership with TU is a natural fit and very important to us all in the company.”

Reel manufacturer, Cheeky Fishing, has been named as the newest corporate sponsor of Trout Unlimited, the US-wide fisheries restoration group.

Cheeky’s core contribution with the organisation will be focused on its TU 5 River Programme, which is aimed at getting young people involved in the sport of fly fishing.

Cheeky’s CEO, Ted Upton, said: “The partnership with TU is a natural fit and very important to us all in the company.

‘When we started Cheeky Fishing we made a commitment to ourselves and our customers that conservation and giving back would be core to our mission. We have always supported TU locally, but the growth of the company in the last few years has enabled us to step up our commitment.”

Upton added that he was delighted to be able to work on the 5 Rivers Programme. “When we learned more about it we knew we wanted to be involved. It is important to convey the conservation message to the future of our sport – the younger generation.

“We will participate in national 5 River rallies, support college fishing clubs around the country and work with members of those clubs on local conservation initiatives and community outreach.”
