Hungarian brand CarpZoom had plenty of news to share with visitors during the first day of EFTTEX. As well as announcing a new initiative to sell its products in the US, the multi-strand business revealed the launch of a new sub-brand.
Called ‘Marshall by CarpZoom’, the premium range will give the company its first presence at the very top end of the carp market and will be available from next year.
“Most of our exhibitors have said they would like us to supply high-quality products for the fanatic element of the market,” said CarpZoom Managing Director, Salim Fadil.
“We believe this will extend our brand image and reflect favourably on our product ranges in the medium to lower parts of the market. It is a market niche that has been missing from our range until now.”
‘Marshall by CarpZoom’ will cover a full range of tackle from rods and reels, to luggage, chairs and terminal gear.
Meanwhile, CarpZoom’s exclusive distributor in Canada, Steve Istvanov, is now targeting the US market. “Steve specialises in carp products and has a very close connection to the market,” said Salim Fadil.
“He feels there are signs that anglers in the US are becoming more interested in carp fishing and is excited by the potential. Consumers are starting to ask retailers more and more about carp.
“It is a special market and we will be supplying Steve with special sizes, flavours and packaging. We are starting with bait, but hope to supply other carp tackle in the future.”
