Departure: Chris Leibbrandt has left Tackle Trade World after just ten months as Editor.

Chris Leibbrandt has left his position as Editor of Tackle Trade World after ten months in the job. He is the third editor to leave the magazine in the past year.

He will be replaced by John Watson, who formerly worked for David Hall Publishing – former owner of Tackle Trade World – as Business Development Manager before joining the European division of Chinese bait manufacturer Old Ghost in 2012.

Leibbrandt’s exit follows the departure in December of Guido Knegt, who was responsible for the magazine’s advertising sales outside of America.

“The parting was very amicable and I am fine with it,” said Leibbrandt, who edited the magazine on a freelance contract.

Leibbrand, the owner of Charismatic Marketing, explained that his strengths didn’t match the editorial direction being sought by the magazine.
