Ireland’s annual Angling Expo – the country’s largest fishing tackle exhibition – takes place at the National Show Centre, in Swords, Co. Dublin, on February 15 and 16.
The event, which is inclusive of game, sea and coarse fishing, has been running for more than 20 years and organisers, Mara Media, say it will be bigger and better than ever.
With more than 80 exhibitors, the Expo is a chance for visitors to see first-hand the latest rods, reels, boats, clothing, bait and accessories and to learn new techniques.
Guest speakers will include ‘Hooked on Fishing’ presenter, Paul Young, along with Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructors (APGAI) Master and angling writer, Paul Proctor, who developed the NX1 single-handed rods for Mackenzie Fly Fishing and who will be demonstrating models during the show.
Other featured guests include Hywel Morgan, Paul Young, Ken Whelan, Glenda Powell, Jim Clohessy and Scott Mackenzie, while fly-tyers George Burdess, Wolly Ireland, Aidan Curran and Frank Moores will also be at the show.
