The World Carp Classic has today announced a sponsorship agreement with the American Tackle Company, adding it to the list of high profile sponsors of the growing event.
This sponsorship deal enables American Tackle to extend it’s global reach and gain more footing in the world of carp fishing.
“The World Carp Classic is a great fit for American Tackle Company,” said Dan Paluch, who heads American Tackle Co., Europe. “The designation of Official Partner of the World Carp Classic was an easy decision for us as our new MicroWave 50 Line Control System was designed with the carp angler in mind. We look forward to forming a strong partnership with The World Carp Classic for a long time to come.”
“Partnering with the World Carp Classic also allows us a venue to showcase our MicroWave CastOff Championship Competition, one of many MicroWave Championship competitions held in conjunction with the sportfishing industry events all across the globe”, said Darrin Heim, Vice President of the American Tackle Company.
The MicroWave CastOff Championship is a distance and accuracy competition open to all competitors at the World Carp Classic who wish to participate, with the winner claiming an engraved spot on the coveted MicroWave Championship trophy.
New champions will be added to the trophy alongside previous winners such as 2015 ICAST MicroWave FlipOff champions, Team Lew’s John Murray and Bill Lowen, as well as 2015 EFTTEX European MicroWave Casting Champion from Herakles/Colmic, Riccardo Cortigiani. “In addition to bragging rights, all MicroWave Casting Champions receive a tremendous amount of industry-wide exposure for their brand – all provided and supported by the event sponsors and the American Tackle Company.” Heim added.
Rising US brands have stepped forward with major sponsorship in order to increase the prominence of the 2015 MicroWave CastOff. This list includes; Enigma Fishing, Fitzgerald Rods, Carrot Stix, T. Allen Rods and Century Rods along with official reel sponsors Allen Fly Fishing and Wavespin Reels.
American Tackle Company has also announced the formation of the Wave Army Carpers – American Tackle’s official angling team who will be competing in the 2015 World Carp Classic. The three-man team consists of well-known carp anglers Birgir Holmqvist, Gary Benney and Häkan Olsen.
This year’s WCC takes place from September 19 to 26 on Lac de Madine, France.
