American Tackle backs World Carp Championship

American Tackle has become a sponsor of the World Carp Classic as it builds up its profile in the sector.

American Tackle has underlined its intention to gain more of a presence in the carp market by becoming a sponsor of the major tournament in the world for the sector.

The US-based rod component maker has joined forces with the World Carp Classic (WCC), which takes place in Lac de Madine, France, later month.

“The WCC is a great fit for American Tackle,” said Dan Paluch, who heads the company’s operation in Europe. “Becoming a partner of the WCC was an easy decision for us as our new MicroWave 50 Line Control System was designed with the carp angler in mind. We look forward to forming a strong partnership with the WCC for a long time to come.”

American Tackle showed off its Nano X braided lines, AirWave and MicroWave30 at its booth at the 2015 Forrest Wood Cup at Hot Springs, Arkansas, in August.

The company also hosted more than 1,500 MicroWave Challenges in the dedicated Wave Army casting Area.

The MicroWave FlipOff Shootout Competition, which attracted many professional anglers, was won by Trevor Fitzgerald of Fitzgerald Rods.

The Wave Army rod brands present and participating in the Wave Army Casting events were Enigma Fishing, Carrot Stix, T. Allen, Fitzgerald Rods, Mud Hole Custom Tackle and Lew’s. All had rods available for demonstration and sales.
