American Tackle appoints successful tournament angler as Marketing Director

Theron Asbery has been named Marketing Director at American Tackle Company, the Florida-based fishing rod components manufacturer renowned across the world for its award-winning MicroWave Guide System.
Asbery was formerly with Yo-Zuri America, where he was Marketing Manager. Originally from Oklahoma, he is a successful tournament angler, having accomplished strong finishes in all the divisions of FLW Outdoors, and qualifying for the 2015 Forrest Wood Cup.
Asbery is also a product of the college fishing programme, fishing for Henderson State University before graduating in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in Marketing.
“Joining the team at American Tackle is the right fit for me and I am looking forward to the future with them. The COVID-19 pandemic has definitely shaken up the industry and I am fortunate to have found a new home in a timely manner and move forward for what seems like a prosperous fall and holiday season,” said Asbery.
As well as being a competitive tournament angler, Asbery is accomplished in fly fishing and has experience in freshwater and saltwater kayak fishing and inshore and offshore fishing.
