YETI appoints Farlows as its first distributor in Europe

Award-winning US cooler maker YETI has made its first foray into the European market with the appointment of a distributor in the UK.
The Texas-based company, which has won awards at ICAST – the world’s largest fishing tackle trade show – has partnered with Farlows, supplier of fishing tackle and outdoor pursuits products and clothing to the rich and famous. It will be making YETI’s portfolio available online and through its retail stores in Pall Mall, London, and its Sportfish locations.
Farlows Managing Director Robin Philpott said: “We are delighted to include YETI in our range of key brands. Its DNA in terms of creating practical products that will never let you down matches our own and it is a very welcome addition to our range.”
Ian Welch, Farlows Marketing Manager, told Angling International that the brand came onto the company’s radar through its presence at fishing destinations in the Seychelles where it was seen by members of the Farlows team.
“Our people quickly became aware of the quality of its products and just how perfectly suited to purpose they are – something that fitted perfectly with our philosophy of only offering practical products that will not let the customer down, wherever they are used.
“Robin Philpott approached the company at ICAST in 2017 and the deal was set in motion, coming to fruition with the first POS in Pall Mall last month followed by those in our Sportfish stores.”
