Fishing kayak manufacturer, Wilderness Systems, has launched its much-anticipated sit-on-top model, the Tarpon 130X.
Retaining the speed and stability of the original Tarpons, the 130X has been upgraded with more modern lines and new customisable features.
The profile of the high-performance boat is similar to the Tarpon 120, but extra length and sidewall flare have been added.
“The Tarpon series is among the most popular and trusted in kayak fishing,” said David Maughan, Product Designer, for the South Carolina brand.
“Now the 130X takes the line to new levels with a quick, yet stable, platform and an updated deck that included customisable features for electrics and accessories.”
Among the new features is a versatile Flex Pod OS, a drop-in, self-contained console that is compatible with a new plug-and-play Helix Motor Drive. The AirPro Max Lite seat is not height adjustable but has a new slide-on track system for increased fore/aft trimming and adjustable thigh support.
The 130X is 13 feet long, 32 inches wide and has a deck height of 16 inches. It weighs 78lb and is available in six colours.
Wilderness Systems is part of the Confluence Outdoor family of US made brands.
