Western Filament unveils rebranding at ICAST
Leading line manufacturer Western Filament is set to reveal a comprehensive rebranding campaign at this year’s ICAST. The Colorado company has redesigned and refocused all consumer print advertising for its popular TUF-Line brand.
The campaign will be targeted at regions, types of fish and even specific fisheries in the US as TUF-Line fine-tunes its marketing strategy to ensure continued sales growth.
“We really wanted a new look for our print ads and have been working on ways to refresh and rebrand for several years,” said National Sales Manager Ted Thibault. “The resulting ads will have more impact and be very closely targeted with relevant messages for the end user.
“The company celebrated it 75th anniversary last year, but there are a lot of fishermen out there who don’t know the brand. This new campaign will help reach them.”
Western Filament will also be running additional advertising in the more popular social media forums and will continue to promote TUF-Line through its network of influential pro-staffers.
One of TUF-Line’s stand-out 2014 products to benefit from the new look is the Tournament 8, an eight-carrier Spectra fibre braid and the latest in the brand’s range of technique-specific lines.
More, but smaller diameter micro-filaments, along with nano coating technology, give Tournament 8 a smooth finish and round profile that reduces friction through the guides. The line casts and handles effortlessly, says TUF-Line.
Tournament 8 is recommended for active cast-and-retrieve fishermen, as well as saltwater livebait anglers who commonly maintain finger contact with the line. It is available in a wide range of breaking strengths and in lengths of 100, 150, 300 and 2,500 yards, plus TUF-Line’s new mega spools.
Other braided Spectra fibre lines in the TUF-Line selection include Supercast, XP, TUF-Line Classic, DuraCast ICE, XP Indicator and MicroLead.
