The Magic Minnow D360° from Kinetic is an inline sea trout fishing lure that is designed to catch more fish – and lose less.
The far casting lure boasts an irregular action that is designed to attract fish from afar.
Kinetic says that when its test team member, David Thormar, fished with some samples of the D360° he caught five silver plated trout each in excess of 3kg, with the largest weighing in at 4.8kg.
The use of inline lures has been popular in Denmark for a number of years due to the fact there is always a chance of losing a fish on a regular lure as it can be used as a lever to get rid of the hook.
By using an inline lure, the lure will simply slide up the line and cannot be used as a lever. This way less fish are lost during the fight.
To rig a D360° you simply have to run the line through the lure and use a small round or oval bead to protect the knot before tying the line to the single or treble hook of your choice.
The company adds that if you prefer a free swinging hook it recommends mounting the hook on an oval split ring and tying the knot to the one-stranded part of the ring.
Stand-out features include:
- Designed and developed in Scandinavia
- Incredible swimming action
- Inline concept means you lose less fish
This autumn the Magic Minnow D360° is available at tackle shops in 10 different colours – including several ultra-violet shades – and in two weights, 18g and 28g.
