The makers of the Candy Mack Inshore are celebrating a new production deal that will increase the availability of what they say is the ‘ultimate saltwater swimbait’. Production for the Candy Mack Inshore is now going ahead in China, a major boost for its California-based creator, Aqueous Outdoors, which has just released a video of the bait in action.
Says the company’s Jeff Law: “The new Candy Mack Inshore is simply the ultimate saltwater swimbait. It combines an exact 3D mackerel shape with the most lifelike side-to-side action of any lure on the market. The video shows the mackerel action, which I am very proud of.
“At 5.5ins long and 1.75oz it’s the perfect lure for your eight-foot or nine-foot heavy action inshore rod and a 6:1 reel. It’s like being able to cast a live bait like an iron.
“Just like the original Candy Mack, it can be slow trolled at 2-4 knots just like a nose-hooked live bait. Slow troll it along the weed lines in Baja or around the kelp paddies and hold on, this lure will get slammed!”
Aqueous Outdoors was founded in 2006 by self-styled ‘avid fishermen with a wealth of ideas and a drive for perfection’. The company says its goal is to use new and innovative engineering to develop the most effective and practical products for recreational fishing and other aquatic outdoor activities.
