“With little or no experience, it is now possible to present a fly or a light lure at 70 yards with ease. That’s something that even the most hardcore fly fishermen only dream about.” So says Morten Bundgaard, the founder and CEO of Pro Sportfisher, the Danish company that has prided itself on its innovative solutions in fly fishing and is now targeting the more lucrative spinfishing market.
The excitement centres on the Pro Jectile, which Bundgaard presents in this new video. He says it is best described as ‘a shooting head boiled down to ten inches’, but it is what the Pro Jectile does that really matters. As a casting device for flies on a spinning rod, it is able to help even inexperienced anglers reach distances of up to 70 yards.
In the video, Morten explains the inspiration behind the design (his wife!) and the unique properties that make it work. At the end, we see the Pro Jectile in action.
The Pro Jectile has met with great enthusiasm in Pro Sportfisher’s home market of Denmark, where 26,000 pieces were sold into stores in the first two months after launch. It is now on sale in the rest of Europe, where Pro Sportfisher has distribution, and in Argentina, Japan and the USA.
There is more to follow, adds Morten. “The Pro Jectile is only the first of our products for spinfishers,” he says. “New designs are constantly being planned, so stay tuned!”
