Flymen Fishing Company has released the Surface Seducer Double Barrel Bass Bug, a next-generation popper fly tied using its popular Double Barrel foam body, which was previously only sold as a single fly tying material.

This lightweight and durable foam fly, with powerful popping action, is now available on the Flymen website and will soon be available in fly shops later in 2017.

“The Double Barrel Bass Bug is a no-nonsense popper fly designed with one thing in mind – generating a massive ‘pop’ to trigger attacks from predatory fish,” said Martin Bawden, founder of Flymen Fishing Company and Head Product Designer.

The deep front cup and extended top lip of the foam Surface Seducer Double Barrel head allows you to effortlessly trigger powerful pops with strong splashes when working your fly.

Durability is something anglers will notice about the Bass Bug. It can take a beating. The Double Barrel head is made of durable soft EVA closed-cell foam, which means you don’t have to worry about it getting saturated with water. Simply put, this is a popper meant to catch fish over and over again (as long as you don’t break off on a monster and lose your fly).

The Bass Bug is finished off with a single thin coat of flexible epoxy, which adds no significant weight and keeps the popper light and easy to cast.

Flymen will be showcasing the Double Barrel Bass Bug next week at the International Fly Tackle Dealer show in Orlando, Florida, along with its recently released Fish-Skull Faux Bucktail, Surface Seducer Howitzer baitfish popper head and the soon to be released Surface Seducer Howitzer Popper fly.
