One of North America’s leading manufacturers of bass fishing lures is offering anglers a chance to win $100,000 this year.

Hale Lures/Stanley Jigs is putting up the cash to any angler who catches a new US state record –  22lb 6oz or larger largemouth bass –  in 2019 on any of its jig baits or lures.

The company, which is based in Huntington, Texas, says that it has been responsible for multiple state record fish across the country as well as hundreds of tournament victories across the US and played a part in at least two Bassmaster Classic wins during its more than 40 years in business. “Anglers have already caught so many monstrous bass on Stanley lures, so why not a world record?” asked CEO John Hale.

“With new baits we have added to our line-up, we feel anglers have an even better chance to catch a fish of a lifetime,” added Hale. “Despite Stanley’s storied history and firm status in the boat of every serious bass fisherman, we continue to innovate, with recent creations, like the Big Nasty Jig, New Mud Puppy and Awesome Twin Spin, making a major stir in the tournament world.”

The free contest runs from January 1 2019 to December 31 this year.
