A UK-based manufacturer of fly tying materials has secured a substantial distribution deal that will see its products sold across the US, Canada and Japan.
Cascade Crest, one of the leading lights in the fly tying industry and supplier to hundreds of stores across the US, including some of the biggest names in the industry, has taken on the distribution of Semperfli.
Ann Kitchener, Director at Semperfli Fly Tying Materials, described the deal as ‘very significant’. “We see the US fly tying market as a key territory and with the love of fly fishing and fly tying in North America, Canada and Japan, Semperfli stands to do very well.
Based in Central Point, Oregon, Cascade Crest has been established for more than 40 years. “Cascade Crest is the perfect partner for us,” added Kitchener. “Founder Pat Dunlap and the team at Cascade are a joy to work with. They share our passion for innovation in providing top quality tying materials to their customers.
“Being a cornerstone of the fly tying industry means that Cascade is ideally placed to take the Semperfli materials forward with the respect and enthusiasm due to our unique range of materials.
“The deal has literally just been signed, but Cascade Crest is already in talks with its many clients about the Semperfli product range and we understand it is being really well received. The level of interest is very high. Cascade Crest plans to take it across its customer base in the three countries and make it a great success.”
Dunlap said: “We love the advancement in materials that Semperfli offers and these are going to be a great hit with the US, Canadian and Japanese fly tyers. We are delighted to be distributing Semperfli.
“There is huge demand already for Semperfli products and we look forward to servicing this. We also really enjoy working with the Semperfli team in the UK.”
