The results of a new UK fishing trade survey will be available by the end of this year.
The 2016/17 Tackle Trade Survey is being conducted by the Angling Trades Association (ATA), the representative body for the UK fishing tackle industry.
“In order to create vital reports for important decision makers and attract interest in the angling trade, it is essential that we collect up-to-date information showing just how vital and valuable our business is to national and local economies,” says an email sent out yesterday by the Association.
With the November 10th survey deadline approaching, the email is intended as a reminder to those companies who have not already responded. Once compiled, the results will provide the ATA with an invaluable bank of statistics for use in the lobbying of decision makers, influencing Government policies and combating threats to the sport.
All information supplied will be treated in the strictest confidence and will not be held, stored or passed onto third parties, explains the ATA.
Figures reported in the survey will be from accounting records dated April 2016 to March 2017. The link to the survey can be found here.
Survey results will be free to ATA members and cost £50 to others.
