Tuna Tails, the US-based manufacturer of big game skirts, is set for a rebranding exercise following the transfer of its sales, marketing and distribution activities to American Fishing Wire (AFW), owner of the HI-SEAS and C & H Lures brands.
The company offers a complete range of US-made Octopus, Cone, Bulb and Humboldt-style skirts which will now be available to a wider audience. Mike Shields, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at AFW, said: “We are thrilled to partner with Tuna Tails and be able to take over the sales, marketing and distribution operations.
“We plan to significantly expand sales by rebranding the skirts under the venerable C & H Lures brand and making them more available from stock to our customers worldwide.”
“Initial orders will take time to manufacture so we ask that customers be patient and expect delays,” added Dan Clark, VP of Business Development & Operations at AFW. “However, the great news is that reorders for the same items should ship from stock.”
He added that after a brief transition period, customers will benefit from faster delivery times and the expanded care of AFW’s larger customer service and sales staff. Distributors, dealers and manufacturers will also be able to use the company’s online wholesale website for placing orders and checking purchase history.
AFW also plans to work closely with Jim Shaw, President and owner of Tuna Tails, to develop new skirts ‘to keep the programme ahead of the competition.’
