Daiwa has appointed the Italian angler and film maker, Salvatore Perrone, as its consultant in Europe.
The founder of Nomad by Fate Entertainment, which embraces the lifestyle of angling through its photography and videos, has joined the Japanese fishing tackle giant to promote its inspirational ‘Feel Alive’ motto.
“Salvatore has a very interesting past, but it’s his future ambitions that inspire him and have led to this cooperation,” said the company. “His skills bring a synergy with Daiwa and will deliver even more excitement and passion to the sport.”
Perrone’s background in music video production has enabled him to bring a completely unique take on fishing videos. He said: “I have always had a passion for photography, film making and fishing. At the age of 20 I started producing music videos for local bands, improving as I went on. Following a collaboration with a great booking agency in Italy, I had the chance to work with international groups in the USA and Australia.
“After about five years I had produced more than 100 videos with some reaching millions of views on You Tube. They were also featured on MTV.
“During this time I was fishing with a friend who gave me the idea of using my experience to make more modern angling videos with a better cinematic look and style.”
Following a move to Slovenia, he and his girlfriend, Vita, started Nomad by Fate, a name that Perrone says reflects their travels across Europe and love of nature and outdoor living.
