It has replaced Europe, Middle East and Asia (EMEA) Managing Director Grant Ottignon-Harris, who left the company last month, with Swedish businessman, Kjell Clefjord, and created a new position in the US – Director of Fly Fishing – for Jim Murphy, who is returning to the group.

In a statement Pure Fishing said: “Kjell is a salesman at heart and brings a passion for focusing on the customer, building teams and growing business. His deep experience will serve him well as he and the Pure Fishing team accelerate profitable growth and re-establish Pure Fishing’s leadership position in the EMEA region.”
In his new role at Pure Fishing, Murphy, former President of Hardy North America, will oversee the production and sales within the group’s Hardy, Greys, Fenwick and Pfleuger brands.
“I’m taking this role as a tremendous opportunity for not only myself, but for all of the brands within the new Pure Fishing,” said Murphy. “I call it the new Pure Fishing because of the positive changes it has been making of late in reconfiguring the company and I’m thrilled to be a part of the team the group has worked hard to create.”

Reuben Heaton, distributor of Eagle Claw in the UK and Ireland, has unveiled the first stage of its dedicated social media framework for the US-based hook brand with the launch of a Facebook page.
The site made its debut at the beginning of the month and is being followed by dedicated feeds for Instagram (#eagleclaweurope) and Twitter (@eagleclawEU).

“With Eagle Claw’s involvement in national and European angling events having a positive effect for its brands outside the UK and Ireland, the decision was taken to launch the campaign with the name Eagle Claw Europe.
“The new Eagle Claw media streams will be supported by significant investments in new infrastructure on the main Reuben Heaton website.” These web developments will include:
