Strike King agrees deal in growing kayak fishing sector

Strike King will sponsor Eric Jackson, a four-time world freestyle kayak champion in FLW competitions.

Prominent US brand Strike King has announced a partnership with Orion Coolers and its parent company, Jackson Kayak, to help drive its lure sales in the growing kayak sector.

FLW tour pro angler Eric Jackson, a four-time world freestyle kayak champion, will be sponsored by Strike King as part of the agreement.

“We recognise kayak fishing as arguably the fastest-growing segment of our market and, like Jackson and Orion, we intend to be the brand of choice among kayak anglers,” Strike King’s VP of Sales and Marketing, Doug Minor, told the BassFan website.

“We are excited to partner with Eric and his brands as he competes professionally. The combination of our knowledge and skill sets should translate into some pretty exciting future projects.”

Jackson described the deal as ‘no brainer’, adding: “Their products are all I use and need in FLW competition. This is an awesome avenue to educate customers about the Jackson Kayak and Orion Coolers brands through the Pro Team Journal and Fish Hard TV shows.

“Customers purchase Strike King products for their quality and value and those same principles are at the core of our brands.”
