Elite Series veteran Mike McLelland teamed up with engineers at Spro Corporation to create the RK Crawler 55 crankbait that carries his name. It is essentially designed for use in clear water where crawfish abound and it delivers a wide-gobbling, hunting and grinding action. It will deflect off cover to trigger aggressive strikes.
Engineered to hug the bottom and with a diving depth of nine to 14 feet, it will cover a lot of water every cast. It is slightly over two inches long and, weighing in at half an ounce, is easy to cast.
McLelland lives on Beaver Lake, Arkansas, and tested the bait in the many clear water fisheries in his area, including Table Rock and Bull Shoals.
The RK Crawler 55 has a distinct knocking fish-call sound and is armed with two size five Gamakatsu hooks. It is available in 14 colours.
