Simms President hails ‘pivitol moment’ in history

K.C. Walsh, President of Simms Fishing Products, had some compelling words for visitors to ICAST yesterday as he spoke about his company’s latest swathe of new products.
“I truly feel this is a pivotal moment in the history of Simms and I couldn’t be more excited about the course we’re on and the unwavering momentum I feel in every product meeting I attend,” he said.
“The team has worked to perfect every detail of the Spring 2018 and Fall 2017 lines and I have no doubt their efforts will be realised every time these products are used by our consumers.”
Simms is unveiling new products across multiple categories in Orlando, including waders, outerwear, sportswear, footwear and accessories. And the Montana manufacturer had cause for early celebrations when its G3 Guide Stockingfoot Wader won the fly fishing accessory category in last night’s Best New Product Awards.
Other headline products among the Simms all-new range include the G3 Guide Tactical Jacket, the Challenger Mid Boat Shoe and a collection of Dry Creek Z Packs. The company also says that its line of women’s sportswear, designed by women anglers for any conditions, is more stylish and better fitting.
Only a week before ICAST, Simms announced that it has received long-term investment from private equity firm Castanea Partners, a Massachusetts company that typically invests up to $150m of equity capital in small to middle market companies.
