The Bassmaster Classic Expo has established itself as a major launchpad for new bass fishing tackle and this year’s show in Knoxville, Tennessee, will be no exception.
One company that has utilised the event to the full for new product introductions is Shimano North America and its four brands, Shimano, G.Loomis, PowerPro and Jackall. Most will be showing off new additions to their portfolios this weekend.
The Antares 70HG is Shimano’s newly-upgraded flagship low-profile baitcasing reel and there will be a limited number available from exhibiting retailers at the Expo. The new size is described as the next generation of the reel.
It will also be introducing three casting and a spinning version of the Poison Adrena bass rods that includes Shimano’s Spiral X Core construction.
The award-winning Curado baitcasting reels continue to attract major attention and will be on show as will its SLX baitcasting reels and SLX rods, which both premiered at last year’s ICAST.
All 47 models of the G.Loomis IMX-PRO rods will be on display, including 23 designed for ‘reaction’ lures and 24 ‘bottom contact’ baits.
Moon Shine, a new colour offered in the award-winning PowerPro Super8Slick V2 braid is being introduced and the first spools will be available from a few selected dealers.
The Expo is always a big event for Jackall due to its focus on bass fishing and the company will be debuting the new Chubble crankbait and Deracoup spintail jigs.
