Visitors to this weekend’s Bassmaster Classic Expo can get their Shimano reels serviced for free.
The new Shimano Garage will debut at the huge event in Tulsa and will be staffed by service technicians at the company’s large product booth.
“Our trained staff will do a thorough cleaning job and will apply the right oil and grease where needed, bringing the reels as close as we can to out-of-the-box performance,” said Shimano Service Tech Manager, Doug Bouse.
“Our crew will also share ideas on what can be done to the reels so that they perform throughout the season in the way you would expect from a Shimano product.”
Due to the large crowds anticipated at the Bassmaster Expo, there will be a two-reel limit per person. Reservations for reel cleaning can be made on the company’s Facebook page and these will receive priority.
The Garage is a new initiative from the Shimano Experience Team and after the Bassmaster will become part of the team’s selected stops at tackle shows, dealer open house events and other B.A.S.S. and Big Bass Tour tournaments.
“We are particularly looking forward to the upcoming B.A.S.S. college and high school events, as well as our owner tournaments in Kentucky and Alabama,” added Bouse.
