After opening its 100th X-Store at the beginning of the year, tackle giant Shimano has completed another memorable milestone – its first in Russia.
The company’s Retail Concept Co-ordinator, Jan Jaap Hiemstra, visited Moscow and St Petersburg, to help build the Shimano ‘store within a store’ concept and get to know more about the Russian market.
“I am very pleased to announce that we have finally entered the Russian tackle market with our X-Store concept. I strongly believe it will bring long-awaited and added value to the tackle market and gives our premier retailers the tools to stand out, bringing the much-needed ‘touch and feel’ of our tremendous products closer to where they belong – in the hands of the consumer.”
In all, six shops opened their doors to the X-Store – Shocklider, in Krasnodar; Strelets, in Yekatarinburg; Adrenalin, FT Market and Orix, in Moscow and Rybachok, in St Petersburg.
“They are a real showstopper and we expect growth not only in traffic, but the generation of more demand for Shimano products in the future.”
