Shimano American Corporation introduced three Jackall Lures baits at last month’s Bassmaster Classic Expo in Houston, Texas – the Firecracker, Gigantarel and ChanWake.
The Firecracker is a buzz bait that has been designed to make cracking sounds on the top of the water, thanks to two props which hit each other, sending shockwaves reverberating around the water.
Produced by renowned lure designer, Tsutomi Kawashima, the Gigantarel is a swimbait that features a bearing swivel eye to eliminate line twist, and a swivel treble feather hook to reduce the chance of losing fish.
A bottom eye allows the angler to add weight for slow sinking and the pectoral design allows it to dive to three feet. It is available in eight colours – RT Carp, RT Bluegill, RT Spawn Gill, RT Ghost Gill, RT Matte Bluegill, HL Bluegill, Gizzard Shad and Matte Bluegill.
The third launch was the ChanWake surface bait that features a rolling action and can be retrieved like a buzz bait. While retrieving, the props on the back of the body makes a draining sound and sprays like an escaping fish.
It can be twitched and jerked on the surface, creating a noise in muddy areas.
