UK-based weighing scales manufacturer Reuben Heaton has agreed a deal with British Carp Cups (BCC) to become the main associate sponsor for the series.
The company has been a backer of the BCC series since its inception, but the new deal, concluded at this year’s Northern Angling Show, sees the company take a more significant role in the events.
Andrew Race, owner of Reuben Heaton, said: “Our scales heritage has its roots in angling competitions with the first dial scales manufactured in the late 1920s being out-and-out match scales. Our involvement in competition has become an integral part of the fabric of the Reuben Heaton brand itself and has contributed to the development of the high-performance scale models that we manufacture.
“The Reuben Heaton brand has long been connected to many national and international events each with their own unique profile and we value the association with all of them. Although it is a carp-based series, the BCC encompasses several different sectors within angling including singles, pairs, women’s and mixed events.
“As long-standing members of the Angling Trades Association, we are always looking for the opportunity to promote angling across all social groups, from the hardcore match angler to the family angling experience. With the BCC series, we have the opportunity to so.”
In addition, the Eagle Claw brand distributed by Reuben Heaton will also form part of the sponsorship agreement with the BCC. Specifically, the TroKar brand will be uppermost in the sponsorship package. The recently developed Magnum carp hook series will feature heavily under Trokar’s ‘Competition level hooks’ banner.
