More than 100 of Taiwan’s top tackle shops are expected to be selling lures from Savage Gear by the start of next year.
The development follows a distribution agreement by the top Danish lure and predator brand with Taiwan’s well-established Miracle Fishing Group (MFG) as both parties seek to take advantage of the growing lure market in Asia.
Smith Chen, Head of Office at MFG, will look after the introduction of the brand. “Lure fishing is very popular in Taiwan and there are many target species during the season in both freshwater and saltwater,” he said.
“Taiwanese fishermen really enjoy lure fishing and the sport is growing thanks to the influence of the internet and social media. We consider Savage Gear to be extremely versatile and its designs are very different from the traditional ones we have here.”
Chen added that MFG will be extensively marketing the Savage Gear brand through its new promotional team of fishermen.
