Svendsen Sport brand, Savage Gear, has added South Korea to its list of export markets across the globe.
After growth in Europe, North America, Japan and Australia last year the brand has partnered with Cocus Co, who will distribute its products in the Asian country. Savage Gear Korea will officially make its debut at the country’s major fishing show which takes place this weekend.
Mads Grosell, Savage Gear International Brand Manager, said: “I am very pleased to see yet another territory become part of the fast-growing Savage Gear map. Korea is a very interesting market for us because it has anglers of a high level who demand quality and unique fish-catching designs.
“We have been approached by several Korean distributors, but Cocus Co convinced us that it is the right partner for us.”
Daniel Park, Overseas Business Manager for Savage Gear Korea/Cocus Co, added: “We are delighted to become a member of the international Savage Gear family. We are confident about this new venture because we know the excellent teamwork and creativity from within. The innovation and great products will be a strong back-up for the successful launch of the Savage Gear brand in Korea.
“The team of resourceful and passionate staff that we have here out on the water love its unique and new products. With Savage Gear on board we can continuously provide new concepts and advanced technology to our lure market.”
