Svendsen Sport brand, Savage Gear Americas, has begun the task of building its sales team to spearhead the distribution of its products across North America.
Following the company’s decision to terminate its US sales agreement with long-term partner, Okuma, and go it alone under the stewardship of Vice President, Magnus Gunnarsson, it has appointed Jay Harris as National Sales Manager.
Harris has worked in the outdoor industry for 12 years, having spent the last four years as Sales Manager at O.Mustad & Son where he was instrumental in introducing several new product categories alongside maintaining and growing accounts.
“I am truly excited to start this new challenge and to have the opportunity to help grow an already amazing brand. I am more than fortunate to be associated with a brand like Savage Gear that prides itself on innovation and quality.”
Gunnarsson said “Jay’s industry knowledge and reputation has made him a great addition to the Savage Gear team. Bringing him on is a sign of our commitment to building one of the strongest brands in the industry. Increasing demand from our customers has driven us to continue pushing the limits of innovative lure building. We have exciting new products coming out and I am very confident that Jay will play a significant role in the success of these.”
