Rybomania, the biggest fishing fair in Poland, set new attendance records when it was held in Poznań earlier this month.
More than 35,000 visitors flooded to the show on February 12th, 13th and 14th, which attracted over 200 trade exhibitors, including distributors representing international brands like Daiwa, Rapala and Shimano.
Three years ago the same fair attracted just over 10,000 visitors and 65 exhibitors.
The fair is the first of three scheduled for the year, with the others taking place in Sosnowiec in the south of Poland in March and Lublin, in the east in December.
“It was the best show of all that we have staged and is a good sign for the forthcoming shows this year,” said PR representative Katarzyna Świderska on behalf of the organisers.
“The number of exhibitors has been growing for a few years and moreover most of them plan to take part in all three editions of the fair.”
The first day at Poznań is a ‘business day’ for retailers and distributors. The remaining two days are open to consumers.
