After establishing itself as a major player in the Russian market, fishing tackle manufacturer Hitfish is ready to branch out and is targeting Europe.
The company, which started business back in 1998 as a wholesaler representing a number of top brands in its home country, is a relative newcomer as a manufacturer in its own right – launching Hitfish products just three years ago with a range of terminal tackle. Since then it has added soft plastic lures to its portfolio.
Hitfish owner Sergey Motin told Angling International: “We started to make inroads into Europe last year and opened our warehouse in Latvia where we introduced our most successful rigging models. They have been well received with anglers appreciating the quality and reasonable price point.
“We are in a constant process of searching for and introducing new baits and products to increase the range of the Hitfish brand.
“Following the success of our products, the next logical step is to increase our presence across Europe, so we are looking for an exclusive distributor or wholesaler to represent the brand in each country.
“We are looking to make Hitfish a well-known player on the global stage very soon, because we believe that we have the products that can make it happen.”
Motin added that the Russian market is recovering its momentum and that companies should have no worries about conducting business with a company based in the country. ‘There are no problems,” he said.
“We have everything iset up to work with companies from across Europe and all around the world. The paperwork is in place and our supply channels mean that we can deliver product on time across the region. We have the products and infrastructure to back up a successful partnership.
“New business partners are very welcome.”
