Richard Taylor, Managing Director of Leeda – the UK’s largest distributor of fishing tackle – has joined Svendsen Sport.
He has been appointed UK Country Manager and will be responsible for further establishing the Danish fishing tackle manufacturer’s brands, which include Prologic, Savage Gear and Scierra, in Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Taylor, who has been with Leeda for seven years, leaves the Redditch, Worcestershire-based company at a time of change for the business.
In July this year Leeda announced a restructuring programme that puts it under the strategic direction of its sister company, Madison, the cycle parts and accessories brand, and a proposed relocation to its headquarters in Milton Keynes.
Taylor is a well known figure in UK fishing circles through his time at Leeda and ten years’ experience at Hardy & Greys. He was in Venice this week and unavailable for comment.
