Ranger Boats, reputedly the largest maker of premium fiberglass fishing boats in the US, has launched a new line of pontoon boats for 2017.
The Reata range is inspired by the Arkansas company’s ‘fish-and-play’ series and offers a versatile package aimed at both anglers and families.
The pontoon series compromises seven models ranging from 20 feet to 25 feet in ‘Fish’ and ‘Cruise’ designs. The three fishing models are the 200F, 220F and the 223F, all triple tube models with 26-inch diameter logs complete with lifting strakes.
Stand-out features include powder-coated pontoon logs, vinyl flooring, fiberglass consoles, automotive-inspired dash designs and fully-wrapped custom upholstery.
Each model features wheelchair accessible anterior swinging gates, phone management systems and thicker, extended side panels to assure safety.
Like all Ranger boats, the pontoons also incorporate a snapless mooring cover, stainless steel boarding ladder, reclining captain’s chair and tilt steering.
Aerated livewells, Lowrance Hook 5 electronics, roomy rod storage and wiring for the installation of trolling motors add to the package. A fishing station with tool and rod holders, a lockable 7ft 6in rod box with organiser and multiple livewells are also available for some models.
Customers have a choice of a factory-rigged Mercury, Evinrude or Yamaha outboard.
Ranger Boats was founded in 1968 and manufactures fiberglass and aluminium fishing boats for both fresh and saltwater use.
