Preston Innovations director promises post-EFTTEX launches
With EFTTEX still burning bright in the memory, Preston Innovations is already talking of new products to come in the next few months.
As visitors to the brand’s booth were effusing over a range of clever new accessories, Director Europe Pascal Vermeulen (pictured), was talking of further ‘undisclosed’ launches coming in July and August.
“We are pumping out some more really good new products,” he told Angling International. “We will be announcing them soon, but right now we don’t want to give too much away.”
In the meantime, Preston staff were kept busy demonstrating a range of tackle to interested trade and media representatives. Products included the Preston ICS (interchange system), which allows terminal tackle to be alternated without dismantling the whole rig.
These featured the Dura Banjo Feeder, which makes it easy to change either lead or feeder cage, and a new inline flatbed method feeder.
Preston has also made a whole host of improvements to its two hook-length boxes. They are now easier to open and have magnetic fasteners. An inbuilt seal around the rim keeps water out and tiny notches on the raised hook retainers prevent line from slipping off.
In addition, the company has introduced REFLO Fluorocarbon this month, a virtually-invisible specialist line for feeder fishing, and has launched the eight-strong Monster Feeder rod range in the popular price segment of the market.
“We are focused on putting innovation back into Preston Innovations,” said Vermeulen.
