With the carp sector so over-populated with manufacturers and products, you have to give retailers a good reason to buy your product, says German brand, Pelzer.
The company concedes that finding something different that meets all the requirements is not easy – but believes it has done that with its recent launch of the Pelzer Air Dome 10000 bivvy.
Christian Dibisch, Managing Director of Pelzer’s parent company World Fishing Tackle, describes the Air Dome as ‘the first serious inflatable bivvy to hit the market’.
Product development began more than two years ago and the Air Dome promises to be Pelzer’s biggest turnover item for 2018 – perhaps its biggest ever. Not surprising then that it is featured on the front cover of Pelzer’s latest catalogue.
The bivvy is erected by using a manual pump to inflate two, double-skinned 10cm tubes that form its exterior backbone. There is also a 10cm gap between the inner and outer skins to increase insulation and waterproofing.
There are no poles to carry or leave on the bank and while most conventional bivvies need to be erected in the right position, the Air Dome can easily be moved once inflated.
All stitching is sealed from both sides and the large zippers will cut trapped grass. The heavy-duty groundsheet is attached by Velcro.
Erected size is 3.35m wide, 2.95m deep and 1.46m high. It weighs only 18kg, including the overwrap.
