Organisers of the first-ever Pêche Expo in Belgium next month are expecting 5,000 anglers to the event.
The fishing show, which is being held from November 7th to 9th in the new Libramont Exhibition & Congress, in Libramont, will be held every other year and at the time of going to press had attracted around 50 exhibitors – mostly from the retail side of the industry.
Caroline Willems, Directrice Commerciale, said: “Reaction to the show has been positive. We are in the heart of a region that is full of brooks, streams, rivers and man-made lakes and where fishing is a popular pastime. We are also close to the borders of Luxembourg and France so the venue is easily accessible to visitors from those countries.”
Willems added that, for the first time, anglers in Belgium would get a chance to try out the fishing simulator from SCATRI – a popular attraction at fishing shows throughout the world.
As well as plenty of opportunities to buy fishing tackle, during the three days of the event there will be a series of seminars on various fishing-related topics.
