Four industry professionals have been elected to serve on the American Fly Fishing Trade Association (AFFTA) board.
The organisation welcomes back former board members Larry Barrett (Far Bank Enterprises), Ben Kurtz (Fishpond) and Michael White (Blue Ribbon Reps) alongside newcomer Shawn Combs (Orvis), who will be serving for the first time.
AFFTA Board Chairman Tucker Ladd said: “We are pleased to have Shawn’s wealth of industry experience and passion for the sport and welcome him aboard.”
Ben Bulis, President of AFFTA, added: “We are really excited to see our membership so active in the voting process this year and are happy to welcome our new board members. We have just come off a great IFTD Show and are looking forward to the new Dealer Summit as we continue to move the sport of fly fishing forward.”
The 2014 Aspen Dealer Summit takes place from October 20th to 23rd and is a three-day retreat devoted to retailer-specific educational workshops and industry networking opportunities.
