Northland Fishing Tackle has strengthened the ‘mini spoon’ end of its lure range with three new additions to its line-up.
The Forage Minnow Spoon, which is already popular in larger sizes, is now also available in miniature 1/32 ounce, 1/16 ounce, 1/8 ounce and ¼ ounce models. The flashing, fluttering lure also comes in six lifelike holographic Baitfish-Image patterns, including four ‘neon’ Super-Glo colours.
The Minnesota manufacturer has also introduced the Macho Minnow Spoon, which features a bevel-edged design that creates an erratic tumbling action through the water. Lures in the range have a jointed KickerTail Fin that flickers and kicks to attract predators from a wide radius.
It is available in seven sizes from a miniscule 1/16 ounce up to ¾ ounce and is recommended for everything from panfish to bass, walleye and trout. The 10 forage patterns include six Super-Glo colours.
The third of Northland’s diminutive new offerings is the Whistler Spoon, which combines the company’s exclusive CutSlab brass body concept with a sonic, whistling prop and hollow brass beads that clatter as the lure tumbles and flashes erratically on the fall. It is available in 1/12 ounce, 1/8 ounce, ¼ ounce and 3/8 ounce versions, with the smaller sizes kept short to enhance their panfish appeal. The six colour combos include four Super-Glo patterns.
“Our ‘mini-spoon’ line-up offers anglers a range of minute presentation options, in a variety of lure styles that either accentuate or subdue flash, vibration, action, colour, visibility and profile,” says Team Northland® Category Manager, Eric Naig.
“You don’t just have one spooning option; you have many, in a range of sizes and colours. Carry an assortment of each lure style, show them to the fish, and let their response tell you what they prefer on a daily basis. Fine-tune your approach and you’re on target for consistent success.”
