New Zebco Brand Director makes ICAST bow

New Zebco Brand Director David Johns walked onto the show floor on day one of ICAST just six days into his job.
But with ten years’ experience of managing iconic brands at Proctor and Gamble under his belt, he was excited more than perturbed by the new challenge.
Johns is armed with a wealth of consumer products experience. In his role at P&G he was responsible for brand strategy, product innovation, consumer research, shopper insights and digital and e-commerce operations.
At Zebco Brands he will focus on creating and implementing growth strategies in the US. “At P&G I worked with some big, powerful brands that consumers are passionate about. That, and the fact I am a passionate outdoorsman, makes Zebco a perfect fit for me,” he told Angling International.
“Putting the consumer first is right up there at number one for Zebco. So my experience working with innovative, consumer products should add value.
“I have also worked with a lot of point of entry business and Zebco is a phenomenal brand when it comes to that group of consumers. I will be using some of my learnings to bring people in from that category.”
Johns and his family are relocating from Cincinatti to Tulsa. He reports to VP Marketing, Bob Bagby.
