World Fishing Tackle (WFT) has appointed a new Product Manager. Martin Bottke, 41, has been with the German manufacturer since 2011 and previously worked in sales.
Introduced to the trade by Managing Director Christian Dibisch at EFTTEX, Bottke has been in the industry for 18 years, working for brands including Browning, Dega, Spro, Mosella and Exori.
“Since working for WFT I have also helped to support Christian Dibisch in developing products,” he told Angling International. “I started fishing at the age of seven and since then I have practiced nearly every kind of fishing style.
“Now I want to use that know-how and my market knowledge to develop WFT fishing tackle.”
WFT also announced at EFTTEX that Jarvis Walker is to distribute its best selling line, KG Strong, in Australia. “We are bringing it in as a response to popular demand,” said Jarvis Walker’s Managing Director, Trevor Maundrell. “We have tested KG Strong and are very impressed with it.”
Jarvis Walker is already enjoying big sales of WFT’s Gliss, a super-slim monofilament that has become a big hit with buyers worldwide since being launched two years ago.
