New President and CEO for Fly Fishing Show

The Fly Fishing Show, producer of the world’s largest consumer event of its type, has appointed Ben Furimsky as its new President and CEO.
The Fly Fishing Show was started by Ben’s father, Chuck, in 1992 with Ben becoming involved a year later. he has worked in a number of roles including speaker, fly tyer, exhibitor and staff member on site. He became Co-Director in 2009 and over the last six years his duties have continued to grow.
Chuck will stay on in his role as Director and his wife, Janet, will continue to manage ticket sales.
Chuck said: “Ben has been taking over the more challenging and time consuming jobs involved with the show, so completing the transition to President should be smooth and efficient. I will be looking forward to more time fishing.”
Ben added: “I have been working with most of our exhibitors for quite a long time so many will not even notice the change. We are like a big extended family. My wife Brooke and I are very excited about the future of the Fly Fishing Show.
“I look forward to continued growth and moving our show ahead as a leader in the trade. We are already selling out our 2016 shows at a record pace which is a great indicator for our industry in the years to come.”
