UK carp brand, Nash has a good selection of new products for 2016, including an improved version of what it claims to be the world’s best selling bivvy, the Double Top.
This latest incarnation is the Mk 4, which retains the features that have made the Double Top so popular and is enhanced with up-to-date fittings and cosmetics.
The CAD engineered modular frame design comprises a four-pole, rigid frame configuration that, says Nash, provides improved stability in high winds.
The bivvy boasts a one-action set up and has a twin skin with a sealed inner mesh capsule to prevent the intrusion of insects and other wildlife.
There is a full width rear mosquito mesh ventilation panel and mosquito mesh windows with zip and Velcro closing. Further user-friendly features include a clear PVC door panel and heavy-duty door mat.
Tension bars are supplied and there are Velcro rod-retaining straps on these and the bivvy. A carry bag and Nash T Pegs are provided.
A Double Top Third Skin version improves insulation, deadens rain noise and creates a porch area outside the sealed capsule to keep boots, cooking gear, etc clean and dry. It also has a roll-up storm door
The Double Top Mk 4 is available in three sizes. The one-man version measures 265cm wide by 195cm deep and 150cm high and weighs 14.9kg. The two-man is 278cm by 250cm by 165cm and weighs 18.6kg. The Double Top Giant is 278cm by 250cm by 200cm and weighs 20.5cm.
