Nash Tackle is funding hundreds of video screen interfaces in tackle shops to help customers make more informed choices when buying carp terminal tackle.
The UK carp brand is delivering the pre-programmed screens to retailers throughout the UK and Europe next month. The initiative allows customers to scan bar codes from the TT Terminal Tackle range and instantly view a video showing how and when to use the product.
“We’ve made a six-figure investment to support both retailers and customers,” explained Operations Director Alan Blair. “I would have loved to have had this level of information available to me when I started carp fishing.
“Tackle shops can be difficult environments, full of more experienced anglers. People will walk away without asking a question rather than feel embarrassed or self conscious.”
Nash’s UK Sales Manager, Matt Downing, said it was the first time in over 30 years’ trading that the company had been able to clearly show all its terminal tackle products at the point of purchase, even highlighting which products work together for specific presentations.
Nash believes that because EU limitations on packaging keep instructional space to a minimum, the screens will become a valuable support tool, particularly in outlets with limited experience of carp fishing.
